Buying Guide - How to Choose the Right Parts
Thank you for visiting our website. This short guide is intended to help you choose the correct parts for your vehicle.
Choosing the correct parts will save you and MicksGarage a lot of time and expense so please let us help you
to get the correct parts first time, every time. Please also note that some of our parts are not returnable,
this makes it even more important that the correct parts are purchased first time.

Before we start please note the following 3 points:

All of our parts are for Right Hand Drive cars so when we say "drivers side" it means
driver side of a Right Hand Drive car and when we say when we
say "passengers side" it means passenger side of a Right Hand Drive car.

We do not sell parts for imported Japanese cars unless it explicitly says so on the part.
- Where we only list 1 part for a car, this does not always mean that this is the
only part available for that car, please refer to the part specification before
purchasing.
Please Do Not Guess
In cases where you are not sure of the part you require please do not guess and please do not purchase parts to try and resolve a problem through trial and error.
You might ask, is it worth while for me to measure the part I need? The answer is always yes if it helps you to get the correct part first time, please bear in mind that you will only ever have to do that once, after that we will have your information stored for you.

Car Listings
Most of our car models are listed in the following format:
- Volkswagen Golf MK4 1998-2003
- Volkswagen Golf MK5 2004 Onwards
- Volkswagen Golf MK6 2009 Onwards
- Ford Focus 1998 Onwards.
Please note that if your car is 2004 this does not always mean that your car is the 2004 onwards model.
It may just be the older model but was registered in 2004, in some cases you might even see a 2005 car
that is actually the earlier model of the car.

If you are unsure what model of car you have a nice easy way to find out can be to have a look at any car sales website.
For example, if your car is registered in 2004 and you are unsure what model your car is, goo on to a car sales website
and view one that is 2003, also view one that is 2005, that way you should be able to tell which version yours is.
Is your car the same as the 2005 model? If so this means that it is the later model and you can now
confidently select that model.
Parts Specification / Dimensions
Most of our parts have measurements on them. Those measurements are listed to help you verify that those
parts are correct for your car. Please take careful note of those measurements
to ensure you order the correct part for your car.
Car Registration Lookup
The car registration lookup is a very useful tool to help you get at your parts quickly and easily, however it is limited to the accuracy of the data provided by the Vehicle Registrations Office, as such we cannot guarantee that any part found using this service will be 100% correct, you must still verify that the attributes of the ordered parts are indeed correct for your vehicle.
